• Straight out of box, plug-in to Win7, Win7 hangs on trying to install the driver for it, go to device manager tying to update the driver, still can’t install it, and after several tries, Win7 complains that the device failed to start. report Error code 01 or something like that.Boot into Mac OSX 10.6.8, open up Disk Utility, plug-in the drive, nothing… it doesn’t even show up in the Disk Utility.
  the drive itself, however, since plugged in, kept spinning, pretty noisy.Maybe it’s a defective unit, but … it’s just a drive, come on, TOSHIBA, put it together.
